The RIDGID RT-100 (69762) Electric Soldering Gun is a portable, heavy-duty resistance soldering station designed for flameless soft soldering on copper tubing from 1/4 in to 1-1/2 in. Operating at 115 VAC with 1500 W of power, this unit uses electric resistance carbon tip technology to quickly heat and melt solder alloys up to 750°F without an open flame.

This unit was inspected and power-tested by plugging into a standard 115V electrical outlet. Upon switching on, the internal transformer energizes and hums as expected. We do not have the capability to test the unit any further. The plastic power switch rocker button pops up slightly and does not sit completely flush with the top housing panel, though it remains functional. The exterior metal housing and cables exhibit minor cosmetic scuffs and surface scratches from handling and storage.

Defects Noted:
