This is a Reelcraft WC7000 premium-duty spring-retractable arc welding cable reel. Designed to increase safety and efficiency in industrial work areas, it features a robust robotically welded steel frame with a corrosion-resistant red powder-coated finish. It provides a continuous current path through a live 400 Amp, 90V DC rated enclosed slip ring. This unit is sold bare (without the main welding cable) and is designed to hold up to 50 feet of 1 AWG, 1/0 AWG, or 2/0 AWG welding cable.
Testing:
We fully removed the item from its box and tested the spring return mechanism, which appears to function and retract properly.
Defects Noted:
During our inspection, we noted some cosmetic scuffs and scratches on the red powder-coated finish. Additionally, one corner of the steel mounting bracket is bent upwards (please see photos for a close-up of this area).
